Genius Book of Records proudly honors Indrajit Ghosh, a committed social worker whose lifelong mission has been to empower tribal communities through education and healthcare in some of the most remote forest and rural regions of India.
Beginning his journey in 2007, Indrajit Ghosh identified the deep-rooted challenges faced by Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) populations – limited access to education, lack of medical facilities, and low awareness of basic health practices. Rather than working from a distance, he immersed himself directly within communities across Ruler Area, Tilla, Hilli villages, and surrounding forest regions, building trust and understanding local needs.
One of his most significant contributions lies in the field of education. Through sustained awareness programs, counseling sessions, and community engagement, he has enabled approximately 3,200 tribal students to secure admission into Ashram Schools. These efforts have not only increased enrollment but have also inspired families to view education as a long-term investment in empowerment and social mobility.
Equally impactful has been his work in healthcare. By organizing and supporting health awareness and medical camps, Indrajit Ghosh has facilitated OPD and IPD treatment for nearly 56,000 individuals. These initiatives brought essential healthcare services directly to people who otherwise had little or no access due to geographical and economic barriers.
His association with Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Pakur, Jharkhand, further strengthened the reach and effectiveness of these programs. Through collaborative NGO efforts, he has continued to conduct awareness camps focused on hygiene, preventive healthcare, education, and social welfare across numerous villages.
Indrajit Ghosh’s work is defined not by numbers alone, but by consistency, compassion, and commitment. Over nearly two decades, his efforts have contributed to lasting social transformation, empowering tribal communities to lead healthier, more informed, and dignified lives.
